Swimming Pools

Hyland Hills owns and operates two beautiful outdoor swimming pools, Splashland and Carroll Butts Aquatics. These pools feature beautiful decks with lounging and sunbathing areas, showers, changing rooms, and splash pad play areas for young children. The pools host many aquatics activities for all ages including swim lessons, water aerobics and open swim.

Swim Lessons & Be-A-Fish Program

Swim lessons consist of a two-week course with half-hour swim lessons given each weekday by trained lifeguards at Hyland Hills’ outdoor pools. Students must be 3-12 years old and out of diapers. Your child will be assessed on the first day of class and placed into one of 5 skill levels.

If you live in the Hyland Hills District, your child can sign up for one swim lesson session for FREE and one additional session for 90% off. This benefit, called the “Be-A-Fish” program, is provided by the Hyland Hills Foundation, which fundraises throughout the year to fund the Be-A-Fish program and other recreation scholarships for local children.

To register for free lessons through Be-A-Fish, you must register in-person and present proof of District residency at the Hyland Hills Sports Center or Hyland Hills Fitness Center. Registration opens Monday, May 6 at 9am.

To register for paid lessons, you may register online, in-person, or over the phone. Registration opens Monday, May 13 at 9am.

Open Swim Pricing

$4 per guest, ages 4+.
$2 per guest with a Hyland Hills Discount Card.
No refunds or rainchecks in case of inclement weather. Please note drinking fountains are not available; we have bottled soda and water available for purchase.

Pool Rentals
